3D visualization of wooden house projects: what is it?

07.19.2019 Construction technology

Modern technology is evolving rapidly, and in recent decades it has become possible to see your future home in 3D. To do this, designers use programs for 3D-visualization.

3D VISUALIZATION: WHAT IS IT?

Visual 3D planning is the creation of realistic models of a wooden house with the help of computer programs. Based on this model, the owner can prepare the necessary documentation for construction, make a step-by-step estimate and take care of the purchase of the necessary materials in advance. In addition, the three-dimensional model allows you to clearly understand what the house will look like in the final version.

In addition to the design of the house itself, the owner can plan the interior and exterior in advance. It is much easier to understand such a project than to flip through complex architectural drawings. When creating a 3D design, the specialist takes into account the peculiarities of the environment (infrastructure, neighboring houses), which allows you to understand how well the building will fit into the overall exterior.

ADVANTAGES OF 3D PLANNING

  • The software allows you to easily and quickly control the work on the project at any stage;
  • When ordering a complex 3D-model of the house, you do not overpay, because you can think through all the details at once;
  • Such a project reduces the risk of errors during construction (insufficient amount of materials, too small or too large premises);
  • Realistic relationship between objects (walls, windows and doors will be the same size as in reality);
  • You can transfer any shades and colors;
  • Often such programs are used by developers who build entire sleeping areas. This allows you to see the whole area at once;
  • 3D modeling is used not only in the construction of new buildings, but also during repair work. This allows you to calculate the necessary changes and avoid unwanted costs;
  • Comprehensive interior design (you can successfully combine textures and materials to avoid disharmony);
  • Often, 3D modeling programs involve creating a panorama (360 °) that allows you to move anywhere in the project.

STAGES OF 3D-MODELING OF THE BUILDING

First of all, it should be noted that specialists in three-dimensional modeling can create a project on a ready-made model or form a completely new object. Specialists use drawings, diagrams and sketches to help calculate the proportions between objects.

Stage №1. The client chooses the type of house and indicates the required size of housing (later this category may change, because at this stage it is difficult to predict the size of the apartment). First, the planning is carried out in a flat version, which is agreed with the client, and then transferred to the 3D dimension. At the end of this stage, the customer sees the size of the rooms, the number of windows and doorways, the height of the ceiling. The specialist also takes into account the supply of the necessary communications, which is also depicted in the plan, and roughly guides the customer what the facade of a wooden house will look like.

Stage №2. This step focuses on the internal organization of a wooden house. The specialist together with the customer selects future furniture, has sockets and lamps, switches and other electronic devices. Also at this point it is possible to plan decorative elements (houseplants, pillows, curtains, etc.).

Stage №3. The customer sees the final work. If there are comments, the specialist makes adjustments and re-approves the 3D project with the customer.

Stage №4. On the basis of the received volume plan the documentation necessary for construction is made and approved.

So, by ordering a 3D visualization of the house, you save your time and money. You don't have to keep a lot of information in your head - just transfer it to a computer program.
