Europe and America are actively rebuilding their territories with wooden high-rise buildings. What trends are visible in Ukraine and is it profitable now to start building a wooden house?
Although the world is constantly changing, the tree continues to be one of the most popular building materials. And all thanks to excellent technological properties and natural beauty, which always reminds of the close connection between man and nature. Modern construction technologies make it possible to erect any wooden constructions - from round to triangular projects, from traditional classics to futuristic high-tech and leading minimalism. In addition, the wooden house in the future harmoniously fits both in the natural environment and in noisy metropolis.
Recall that over the last decade in Europe and America began to build wooden high-rise buildings. And numerous studies and practical experiments have proven - the tree is competitive, strong and reliable, and most importantly, the ecological, which the whole world now directs in absolutely all branches of human life. For example, Swedish construction companies have shown that the construction of wood costs 5-20% cheaper than similar designs of reinforced concrete or brick. A good sound insulation is provided by modern seals. The multi-storey building, built in Stockholm, broke all the records - its height was 26 meters, the house successfully located 31 apartments. By the way, the project was executed by the order of the company that investigated the feasibility of wooden construction and gradually restored the tradition of using wood during residential and commercial construction.
Taking into account the positive experience of European colleagues, a similar project was launched in Finland. After that, the European Union introduced a new "Wooden Europe" program, which stipulates that, by 2020, the number of wooden houses in a common housing stock should be at least 80%. And engineering geologists have pointed out that the unique property of a tree is resistance to seismological phenomena, which is especially relevant at the time of the present terrible natural cataclysms. Thanks to flexibility and elasticity during a powerful impact, the tree bends, and then returns to its original position, while the reinforced concrete structures collapse to the floor.
Another advantage of using wood materials is the effect on the concentration of carbon dioxide. A one-story building is capable of absorbing the same amount of carbon dioxide as one car produces during its 20 years of active operation.
New lifestyle in Ukraine
As for the Slavic countries, the process of introduction of wooden construction is not developing so quickly. Many buildings and office premises are still built of brick and reinforced concrete. And only in the country building there is a certain recovery.
Another interesting trend is that Ukrainians are increasingly choosing between two options when choosing between a wooden house and an apartment. The construction of a brick house requires a lot of resources, resources and energy. Instead of building such a house you can choose a more optimal option - an apartment in the city and a country house. Each of these options has its advantages and disadvantages.
Comfortable apartment in the center of the city - is a modern day, moving in the leg over time. In addition, in the winter period it is uncomfortable to get to work from a country house. The apartment allows you to optimize all vital processes (home automation), which significantly saves time and influences the pace of life of the city man.

And in the winter, a wooden house is warmed up to a comfortable temperature in a few hours, when in the same apartment, for example, it often happens hot. When the emotional restart is required - a wooden house allows you to disconnect from the violent movement of stone jungles, stop time and get deeper into nature. In addition, Christmas and Easter holidays are transformed into a true fairy tale for the whole family, when the house is beautifully decorated, and the dining room is already waiting for a delicious festive dinner.
